Sustainably Sourced Gold

Westgold is a Western Australian gold exploration and production company with a portfolio of assets across the state. The company’s focus is on delivering value to shareholders through exploration, development, and operation of its mining projects. Westgold’s assets include underground and open-pit mines, as well as processing facilities that enable the company to produce and sell gold, silver, and copper concentrate. The company prides itself on its commitment to safety, sustainability, and community engagement, and aims to be a leading player in the Australian gold industry.

Up until 2021, Westgold had previously prepared its Annual Reporting suite of documents with a print-first approach. This resulted in a document available on their website that didn’t have the end user in mind and Westgold wished to address this in their 2021 Sustainability Report by designing a digital publication (reducing their carbon footprint in the process).

The Westgold 2021 Sustainability report was designed in a widescreen-friendly landscape format that could later be printed, but felt natural to view on screens. An interactive navigation system was introduced and present on every page to assist readers in moving seamlessly between sections and returning to the contents. We utilised Westgold’s exceptional image library and corporate colour palette to highlight their dedication to sustainability and continuous improvement, and to produce a report that was visually engaging.
